Sensociencia welcomes students from across Spain through the CAL Routes Program of the Ministry of Education
The University of Almería once again became a meeting point for scientific learning through the Scientific, Artistic, and Literary Routes (CAL Routes) organized by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, and Sports. On this occasion, the Sensociencia team welcomed groups of high school students from Archidona (Málaga) and Cuenca, as well as from other regions of Spain including Cantabria, Melilla, Salamanca, and Madrid.
Throughout the visit, students participated in various experimental activities and educational research workshops designed to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and active learning through the principle of “learning science by doing science.”
The Sensociencia team guided participants through sensory and collaborative experiences that demonstrated how science can be inclusive, engaging, and enjoyable. The workshops included hands-on activities connected to everyday life, sustainability, and scientific innovation, fully aligned with the competency-based learning objectives promoted by the CAL program.

This visit is part of Sensociencia’s ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Education, reinforcing the University of Almería’s commitment to scientific outreach and participatory education. The initiative not only gave students the opportunity to discover university-level research firsthand but also to awaken new scientific vocations and appreciate science as a tool for social transformation.
The experience concluded with highly positive feedback from both students and teachers, who highlighted the warm welcome, enthusiasm, and creativity shown throughout the activities. With this new edition, Sensociencia continues to consolidate its role as a national benchmark in inclusive and experiential science education.
