Sensociencia Participates in UNAM’s ‘Aulas del Futuro’ Through the ICAT Initiative

Sensociencia continues to strengthen its international presence with the participation of María Martínez Chico in the Aulas del Futuro program at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), an initiative promoted by ICAT to explore innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

During her participation, María Martínez Chico collaborated with educators, researchers, and students interested in transforming educational environments through active, experiential, and technology-enhanced methodologies. Her contributions focused on how sensory-based science education can foster creativity, curiosity, and inclusion across diverse learning contexts.

Throughout the sessions, attendees engaged in demonstrations and discussions focused on hands-on experimentation and collaborative inquiry—fundamental principles of Sensociencia’s philosophy of “learning science by doing science.” These activities demonstrated how sensory experiences can become powerful tools for deepening scientific understanding and promoting meaningful learning, fully aligned with the objectives of the IN-STEAM project.

This collaboration reinforces Sensociencia’s commitment to advancing educational innovation on an international scale, as reflected in its active participation in the IN-STEAM project, which promotes inclusive, creative, and transformative approaches to science education.
