The IN-STEAM project, ready to be at the Seville Science Fair

The IN-STEAM project will be present at the Seville Science Fair. To this end, the Sensociencia team from the University of Almería and Fundación Descubre, co-organizer of the Fair along with the Andalusian Society for the Dissemination of Science, met this week to design an activity specifically thought for teachers visiting the Fair, to promote the project and its objectives.

Specifically, participating teachers will begin a tour at Fundación Descubre stand, where they will have to answer a series of questions related to IN-STEAM. Afterwards, they will continue their tour at the Sensociencia stand, where they will participate in an interactive workshop before answering the final questions related to the goals of the European project.

The Seville Science Fair, the largest of those held in Spain, is funded by, among other entities, the Regional Ministries of University, Research and Innovation and Educational Development and Vocational Training, as well as the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and the City Council of Seville.

The Seville Science Fair, the most representative node of the Network of Science and Innovation Fairs of Andalusia and one of the longest-running in Spain, celebrates its twenty-third edition in 2025.

The Fair is an exhibition space where the world of research, educational centers, museums, companies, universities and citizens in general meet, which aims to exchange, disseminate and communicate scientific, technical and environmental knowledge, and aims to:

– CONTRIBUTE to the revitalization of science teaching in educational centers.

– CREATE a meeting place between science, educational centres and society.

– GENERATE a taste for knowledge and the development of scientific vocations by eliminating social and gender barriers.

– ENCOURAGE the development of the entrepreneurial spirit and innovative capacity.

– COMMUNICATE to society the scientific and technological advances developed in companies, research centres and universities as a way of moving towards sustainability.
