From Almería to Barcelona and Argentina: IN-STEAM Experiences

During the month of January, the Sensociencia research group carried out several highly relevant activities within the framework of the IN-STEAM project, focused on educational innovation and the teaching of experimental sciences.

Firstly, Sensociencia team hosted a one-month research stay by Nicolás Martín Velasco, PhD in Science Education and Professor of Physics at the National University of Córdoba (Argentina). During his visit, and within the context of the project, the team travelled to CEIP Fuentesantilla in the town of Adra, where they implemented the pilot sequence of the ELP method, one of the project’s key methodological proposals for the teaching of STEAM disciplines in Primary Education. In addition, Nicolás delivered a seminar for the Sensociencia research group, in which he provided deeper insight into his team’s working methodology. This seminar proved to be particularly enriching, creating a valuable space for didactic reflection and the exchange of research experiences aligned with the objectives of the IN-STEAM project.

Finally, María Martínez Chico travelled to Barcelona to share Sensociencia research with the department of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, thereby strengthening the academic collaboration networks linked to the project.

Without a doubt, January was an especially enriching period for the Sensociencia research group, consolidating its involvement in the IN-STEAM project and reinforcing its commitment to educational innovation and international cooperation.
