Exploring Learning Through Play: Join the 2nd Ludopedagogy Forum!

Université Paris Cité organizes the 2nd Edition of the Ludopedagogy Forum, an opportunity to show the power of innovative education and how creative methodologies can transform the way we teach and learn across STEAM disciplines.

What is the Ludopedagogy Forum? On Tuesday, March 24, 2026 (from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM), the Grands Moulins campus will become the epicenter of educational innovation. This event is designed as a space for exploration and exchange, dedicated to discovering, sharing, and highlighting educational practices that use games in higher education.

The forum will bring together teachers, researchers, instructional designers, and students, along with external partners, around one key question: How can gaming become a true lever for learning, engagement, and innovation?

What can you expect? With around thirty booths, attendees will have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of play-based projects firsthand. The formats presented include:

  • Board and Card Games: Such as games designed to teach underwater biology or Oxydo-construction, created to work on oxidation-reduction equations.
  • Educational Escape Games: Featuring projects like Escape Germ, which immerses students in a clinical microbiology lab, or J’ai résistance, ou pas !, focusing on the mechanisms of bacterial resistance.
  • Digital Tools and Video Games: Examples like Medgame (an immersive web app with realistic clinical cases) or virtual reality and simulation tools.
  • Student Creations: Initiatives like Faites vos jeux !, where students themselves design and prototype educational board games at the university’s FabLab.

The STEAM Spirit in Action This event perfectly aligns with the IN-STEAM philosophy. Many of the featured projects brilliantly integrate science, technology, and game design (Arts), fostering active learning, critical reasoning, and teamwork. Each booth will offer the chance to talk with the creators, understand the impact of these tools, and find inspiration to imagine new ways of teaching.
